Significant projects have included construction administration services for a 3.1-mile urban street project, design and land rights surveys for a 10-mile sanitary sewer interceptor line and sanitary sewer treatment facility, design and construction phase services for residential and commercial developments for private developers, design and land rights surveys for peak generating power plants, design and construction phase services for high school track and field facilities, and surveying support services for environmental and architectural firms.

Served as Sr. Project Manager for site development during the construction of the Grand Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. Project consisted of the construction of gaming complex, 80-acre lake, 18-hole golf course, 6 miles of four-lane access roads, an elevated water tank, water distribution system, sanitary sewage treatment facility, sanitary sewage collection system, 600-room hotel facility, 200-room hotel facility, and parking facilities. The position included technical feedback during planning and design of facilities, developing cost estimates, preparing project schedules, negotiating subcontract agreements, monitoring project schedules, maintaining project budgets, management of the overall site work budget, and supervising the project team to ensure that all site work construction was completed in compliance with the construction plans and specifications.

Served as Engineer Manager for Civil Engineering Department responsible for the planning, design, survey, and construction of civil engineering projects in the State of Mississippi, managing resources to complete contractual obligations of the projects, managing the department as a separate profit center for the firm. Major projects included design and construction phase services for the Lynch Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptor, design, and construction phase services for the closure of the City of Jackson, Mississippi Municipal Solid Waste Facility, preparation of the Phase 1 Storm Water Permit for the City of Jackson, Mississippi, preparation of Storm Water Permits for the airport facilities in the State of Mississippi, and design and construction services for private residential and commercial developments.

Served as Project Manager for civil engineering projects with duties including client management, project design, coordination of technical support, and maintaining project schedule. Projects included feasibility study and master plan for development of Rosedale Port and Harbor on the Mississippi River in Rosedale, Mississippi.

Served as Business Development Specialist responsible for marketing and development of general civil engineering projects throughout the State of Mississippi for the firm.

Served as Project Engineer for the design of timber bridges for the haul road on the Alaska Pipeline Project. This work was performed under contract with a consortium of oil companies.

Served as Project Engineer and Project Manager for design and survey of 40 miles of four-lane divided highway as part of the Mississippi Four-Lane Corridor System. These projects were the first projects performed by consulting engineers as consultants to the Mississippi State Highway Department (now MDOT).

Served as Business Development Engineer responsible for preparation of all Statements of Qualifications and technical proposals for the Southern Division of the firm.
1971-1973 NEWPORT-NEWS SHIPBUILDING & DRYDOCK COMPANY
Newport-News, Virginia

Served as Design Engineer for equipment support structure and bulkhead framing for nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers. The work was performed under contract with the Department of the Navy.
